Royal Decrees: Staff Favorites!

The new Royal Decrees expansion is A LOT of fun to play with, giving each player a unique ability. Some of these abilities are only used once, while others can be used multiple times, but all have been balanced to provide either a certain amount of money or points to each player.
Here are some of our team's favorites!
Ted Alspach (CEO)
Hide all coins under this card:
"It’s clearly the best decree for a number of reasons: (1) After the first round most people forget what you have, and they can’t price things out of your range or at the top of your range, (2) I would be very upset if someone else had the decree, because then *I* wouldn’t know how to price things adequately."
Toni Alspach (COO)
"1 for each 1" - Place up to "1" coin on this card each turn:
"This card allows you to bank money for VPs at end game scoring. I like this one a lot, especially if there are a lot of outdoor rooms in the starting market. This decree is usually worth double digit end game points and having outdoor rooms available helps alleviate money shortages."
Ally Gold (Marketing Manager)
Rooms are completed even if some entrances are blocked:
"Getting all your room completion awards without having to always match door to door is incredible! It feels wrong, but also SO RIGHT."
Nathan McKeehan (Quality Assurance Manager)
12 VPs if you have no stairs or hallways:
"I like '12 if you have no stairs or hallways' as long as one of the starting favors isn't courtyards or downstairs rooms. I can guarantee myself 12 points at the end with 0 extra effort."
Matt Ryan (Trade Show Manager)
Score 1 bonus card twice:
"At the end of the game, being able to choose a bonus card to score twice gives you a giant swing in points. It is a great way to steal a win right at the end of the game."
Lindsay Schlesser (Social Media Manager)
Leave up to 1 space empty, moving that room to another space, when setting prices as Master Builder:
"When you're Master Builder, you may leave 1 space in the market empty & place 2 rooms in any other space. In a 5 player game, you may place a 3rd room in the 15k space or leave only 1 room in that space.
Pricing just got easier when ALL of the available rooms are good."
Alanna Kelsey (Senior Graphic Designer)
Ignore Activity room penalties:
"It does depend on the market, but I really like the no point penalties on activity rooms! It is a great way to rack up points during the game!”
Ryan Moore (Customer Support Manager)
Pay "1" less when purchasing rooms:
"My favorite would have to be 'Each room costs you 1000 less.' There have been multiple times where I thought I was one short just before remembering my little discount. Also, it's extremely satisfying to give the Master Builder 1 less than they would have gotten otherwise!"
Renée Harris (Licensing Manager)
Remove 0-4 rooms from the room stacks immediately before scoring:
"I love the decree that allows you to remove a certain amount of rooms from the available stacks at the end of the game. It's a sneaky way to score mega points at the end of the game that no one sees coming!"

Another amazing day!
You all are killing it! We are well on our way to 600K. Today, our new backers unlocked some really amazing stretch goals: Archives, Windy J Farms, Oma Nook, and Werehouse - three of these are based directly on real life places special to Bezier! In addition to these, the Royal & Colossal levels will now be receiving the Winter player set, complete with 5 new unique foyers and gorgeous matching glitter swan player markers!
AND the two achieved Twitter goals you all achieved HUGELY upgrades the Master Builder Token! We absolutely LOVE this printed design and cannot wait to include it in this edition!
Feedback Updates:
Additional items were added to the FAQ today and a couple were adjusted. We are super grateful that our partners at GameTrayz™ were able to accommodate our requested adjustments for the trays to better house sleeved cards :)
We also met with Quartermaster today to further investigate the EU shipping & VAT questions we've had, here is some further explanation of what is going on - In past campaigns we have shipped our Kickstarters via GamesQuest in the UK, when it was a part of the EU. Both regions shared the same price because they blend the prices together for each shipping lane. Now that Brexit has occurred, we no longer can do this. We now have to ship EU pledges via GamesQuest’s partner in Germany.
EU friendly shipping means that we are shipping from within the EU. The European Union’s new pricing without being attached to the UK is now a higher average cost since they have been removed from the equation. Bezier Games pays for all import VAT, we have now been instructed for all campaigns moving forward to charge sales VAT within the pledge manager.
We are working with Quartermaster to see if there are any cheaper options for shipping within the EU aside from the current facility in Germany. We hope to have more information for you all this week.

All Social Media Goals and $600K Goal Unlocked!!!

$600 Stretch Goal Unlocked!
After crossing the $600K mark, we unlocked the courtyard bonus card, decree, and favor! Courtyards are created by enclosing a negative space with your room tile edges, and at least one doorway opens into that space. These are a lot of fun to work with, you can get really creative! Our Social Media Manager, Lindsay is the QUEEN of the courtyards...and she lets everyone know it as she zooms her swan up the score track :P
ALL Social Media Goals Unlocked!
You all kicked it into high gear after last night's update to finish off our Facebook and Instagram goals - amazing work backers!!! We now have been able to unlock unique artwork for each moat and two-tiered barbicans! The moat artwork includes things like different foliage, crocodiles, a Loch Ness monster & more! The barbican pieces will now have a second layer of cardboard fastened on top that allows your foyer tile to slide oh-so-nicely into place, to help things from moving about!
What an amazing first three days! Keep up the good work!
